THE WINERY Our winemaking style is traditional, using indigenous yeasts, and minimal interference. Apart from traditional styles, we also make non-traditional, non-commercial wine styles. These are enjoyed by many people, especially those who enjoy something special. The 20 acre vineyard is located on the side of a north facing hill, high above the Ballandean Valley, at an altitude of 1000m approximately.The high altitude ensures frost free springs and long cool ripening times. The soil is composed of shallow weathered granite.As many as possible vineyard tasks, such as pruning and picking, are carried out by hand in the time honoured tradition. Enjoy our gardens containing old winemaking equipment and horse drawn wagons and sulkies, from a more graceful bygone era. Picnic facilities available. Wines that are an expression of the place where they are grown.
