Bald Mountain Vineyards is planted at an elevation of 830 metres and contains chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. Wines of exceptional flavour and quality derive from the combination of very deep granitic gravel soils and vines trained to the lyre trellis system. Bald Mountain Vineyards was the first Queensland wine producer to win a Gold Medal in the open classes of a capital city show (1994 Shiraz Cabernet, Brisbane Show 1995). Bald Mountain maintains an enviable reputation for the very high quality and consistency of its wines.
