Heavenly Chocolate, the only chocolate shop in the region, is also on site. Alba has developed a tempting range of over 30 different hand crafted chocolates using the finest imported and local ingredients. We also stock a large range of gourmet goodies from Australia and overseas. Our seriously rich hot chocolate drinks in 18 different flavours are exclusive to Heavenly Chocolate. Enjoy a hot chocolate, tea or coffee in the garden while you watch the birds. Each day King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, Eastern Rosellas, Red-browed and Double bar finches plus 4 species of the pigeon family are fed morning and afternoon. Spot the Satin Bowerbird bower with associated blue objects which has been in existence for over 15 years. Heavenly Chocolate is open to visitors Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and all school and public holidays between 10.00am and 4pm.

Granite Belt Dairy Farmhouse Cheese

Granite Belt Dairy Farmhouse Cheese is the only true farmhouse cheese made on the Granite Belt. What's a farmhouse cheese? There aren't many of us around. We make the cheese right from the pasture to the plate. It's made from the milk from a single herd of animals from one farm. It's what makes our cheese unique. Come up to the Dairy Shop and taste for yourself. The tasting room offers a daily selection of cheeses at their peak of perfection for you to sample before making your selection. The cheeses are made to old recipes that still taste like real cheese with no artificial flavours or preservatives. Cheese platters are available to eat here or take back to your accommodation after a long tiring day of wine tasting. Ask for our cold packs if you're traveling around all day. We want you to get it home cool and not squashed. Remember to eat your cheese at room temperature.

The Bramble Patch

Set in the heart of the Granite Belt 15km south of Stanthorpe, the Bramble Patch Berry Farm occupies picturesque property tucked away high in the hills above Glen Aplin. At an altitude of 850m, we enjoy crisp frosty winters and mild summers, making the farm a treat to visit all year round. Our hydroponic production system is adjacent to our sales area, enabling visitors to see how our berries are grown. With delicious treats all year round, the Bramble Patch has something for everyone! Fresh Berries are available to purchase from November to March. We manufacture a huge range of quality preserves on site - our preserve range and our Berry Fortified Wines are all available to taste. Try our berry ice creams, luscious desserts and enjoy a coffee either next to the roaring log fire during winter or take advantage of our leafy picnic facilities in the warmer months. Group catering is available by prior arrangment. Coaches are welcome - bookings preferred. Mail order is also available. The Bramble Patch is simply a great place to stop and appreciate our serene, clean, country surroundings - a unique concept not to be missed on any trip to the Border Highlands! Directions: Located just 15km south of Stanthorpe. Follow the New England Highway to Glen Aplin and turn left at Townsends Road - we are located at the end of Townsends Road - watch for our signs along the way! Our Opening Hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm Daily (Earlier by Appointment). Closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday & Anzac Day mornings.
